Mark Robinson Maritime Consultants (MRMC) have been appointed as the new Designated Person (DP) for Yarmouth Harbour, as required by the Port Marine Safety Code. Our primary responsibility is to provide independent assurance to the duty holder, that the marine safety management system is working effectively, through the process of assessment and audit.
Having been approached in January to carry out an internal health check of the marine safety management system and associated ‘wet’ side operations of Yarmouth Harbour, MRMC were asked to take up the role of DP and continue to oversee the safe operation of the harbour and its facilities
Yarmouth Harbour CEO & Harbour Master Tim Adams said: “The Yarmouth Harbour Commissioners are delighted to confirm the appointment of Mark Robinson of MRMC as their Designated Person to monitor the effectiveness of the Marine Safety Management System and ensure compliance with the Port Marine Safety Code.”

Having lived in the town for 28 years and enjoyed the harbour and river Yar for many years it’s great to be back as part of the team that ensures the harbour will be enjoyed as much as I did, for many generations to come.”
