PORT MARINE SAFETY CODE – Mark Robinson Maritime Consultants (MRMC) are experts in carrying out Port Marine Safety Code (PMSC) compliance audits. Accordingly, our surveyors have extensive experience, having attended and reported against major commercial ports and leisure harbours throughout the UK.
DESIGNATED PERSON – MRMC also provide independent Designated Person (DP) services as required by the PMSC. Currently we act as DP for Beaulieu River & Bucklers Hard Yacht Harbour, Yarmouth Harbour and Bembridge Harbour Authority.
ISM/ISPS – MRMC provide services for the implementation, monitoring and reporting on major company exercises as required by the ISM and ISPS codes. We tailor this to the function and size of the management Company and provide real-time media pressure to test competencies.
RISK ASSESSMENTS – We represent underwriters providing formal risk assessment services for continued risk mitigation, enabling correct and informed calculations for hull, machinery and 3rd party insurance premiums.
EXPERT WITNESS – In addition, Mark Robinson provides survey, consultancy and expert witness services to the marine industry.
Mark Robinson has provided marine safety advice and auditing services for the Beaulieu River for several years. His excellent technical knowledge and practical experience have been very helpful in developing and maintaining our River Safety Management System.
The Yarmouth Harbour Commissioners are delighted to confirm the appointment of Mark Robinson of MRMC as their Designated Person to monitor the effectiveness of the Marine Safety Management System and ensure compliance with the Port Marine Safety Code.
The audit carried out by Mr Mark Robinson, for the third year at BHA was carried out with professionalism, and a clear understanding of the needs of the buisness, and the efforts of the staff. Advice and guidance on some matters was sought and received. The advice received led to changes in working practices, which have reduced administrative time which can now be afforded to other operational areas. Much appreciated and the support overall is warmly welcomed.
