Mark Robinson Maritime Consultants (MRMC) are the longest serving Appointed Representatives for the Republic of the Marshall Islands (RMI). We are the official body providing surveys, audits, inspections & reports on behalf of the Administrator for RMI flagged yachts, and yachts wishing to come onto the Register, across the globe.
Appointed Representative/Flag Surveyor – RMI
With permanent offices and surveyors on both sides of the Atlantic, MRMC are the No.1 choice for conducting yacht surveys as required for RMI flagged yachts.
These include surveys for intended use (private yachts coming onto the RMI Register), private yacht limited charter (PYLC) for up to 84 days per year, yachts engaged in trade (YET), passenger (PAXY) and commercial yachts.
External ISM, ISPS and MLC, 2006 audits are also performed by our surveyors and all statutory certification and national certification can be issued to the yacht within hours dependent upon survey findings.

Mark Robinson is a Master Mariner with over 25 years maritime experience, 16 of which were spent deep sea with the Royal Fleet Auxillary. He has been a surveyor of RMI flagged yachts for more than 10 years and as the longest serving RMI Flag surveyor has extensive experience and knowledge across all areas of RMI regulations, ensuring the best advice for you and your yacht.

U.S. Surveyor
Our permanent U.S. based yacht surveyor Ben Snead has over 30 years experience in vessel specification, planning, design, engineering, construction and technical management in shipyards worldwide. Ben has worked on projects in the U.S., Canada, South America, and Northern and Southern Europe on vessels in excess of 100m and brings stateside knowledge and expertise to the MRMC team.
